Gymea Shopping Centre upgrade
updated 18 May 2010
Update: Revised Raised Crossing
The location of the proposed raised crossing threshold, at the northern end of Gymea Bay Road (south of The Kingsway) has been revised. See the Masterplan Concept below.
This revised location is to accommodate a safer right hand turn for vehicles from Warburton Street into Gymea Bay Road. It will result in a net loss of 2 existing car parking spaces in this vicinity. However, it will facilitate safer vehicle manoeuvring at this intersection, and a safer pedestrian movement across Gymea Bay Road.
The revised Concept Masterplan including the proposed additional 2 raised threshold crossings (inclusive of the above mentioned) will be put forward to the Sutherland Traffic Committee at their next meeting in June.
